TradecraftAI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the TradecraftAI iOS application.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

TradecraftAI does not collect, store, or share any personal information on our servers. We do not operate a backend server. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no tracking.

2. Information Processed on Your Device

• Photos & Camera: Photos you take or select are sent directly to OpenAI's API for AI analysis. They are not stored by us.
• Voice Recordings: Audio recorded for work orders is sent directly to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription and immediately discarded from device memory after processing.
• Text Input: Any text you enter (quotes, troubleshooting questions, chat messages) is sent directly to OpenAI's API to generate a response.
• OpenAI API Key: Your OpenAI API key is stored locally in your device's secure UserDefaults. It is never transmitted to us.

3. Third-Party Services

TradecraftAI uses OpenAI's API to power AI features. Data you submit (photos, voice, text) is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing their policy to understand how they handle API data.

Subscription billing is handled by Apple's App Store via StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy practices govern all billing data.

4. Subscription Data

We use Apple's StoreKit 2 for subscription management. Purchase history and subscription status are managed entirely by Apple and stored on your device. We do not receive or store your purchase records.

5. Job History

Job records (diagnoses, quotes, work orders) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (e.g., PDF export to your Files app).

6. Analytics & Advertising

TradecraftAI contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no crash reporting services. We collect zero usage data.

7. Children's Privacy

TradecraftAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
